Where it all started
Brothers, Paolo & Luca, started Monte Forte as a food truck in Redhill Market.

What does ‘Monte Forte’ mean?
Monte Forte is the maiden name of Paolo & Luca’s Grandmother.
Also, Monte Forte means Strong Mountain in Italian.

The grandmother, the myth, the legend.
When we were thinking of a name, we looked no further.
This woman came to London from Naples shortly after WW2. She worked so hard to give her family the best from nothing. Always an inspiration to us.
She’s also got some amazing recipes, pizza being one.
NEAPOLITAN PIZZA. OUR WAY.
We have been perfecting our recipe for 4 years. Our pizza is chewy, light and charred at 500c, just like the ones cooked in Napoli. Check them out above.
2017 - It started with a Truck!
From November 2017 to July 2019 we (Paolo & Luca) toured the country with our food truck. Everything from private events like weddings and birthday parties to local pop ups and food festivals. Some notable pop ups are just below;

Pilgrim Brewery, Reigate (opposite our Reigate site now!)
The Garibaldi Pub, Redhill
The Gipsy Hill Brewing Company, Gipsy Hill
The White Lion Pub, Redhill
Redhill Market (our first day ever!)
Godstone Brewery, Flower Farm, Godstone
It was some of the best times with great people. Little did we know we would turn our food truck into pizzerias.
2019 - Monte Forte Reigate
Monte Forte Reigate
Less than 2 years after the original food truck started, we launched our first stand alone restaurant in the beautiful town of Reigate, Surrey.
Our food truck used to park up outside the old Four Hops Taproom, which was here before us.
It is a small, 48 cover restaurant, with the open pizza kitchen. It’s taught us a great deal!
September 2019
2020 - Lockdown
Just 6 months after our Reigate Pizzeria opened we were plunged into lockdown. At first we thought it was all over, but we quickly pivoted to a delivery and collection business until we could re open as normal.
Covid actually helped us grow our brand, while working on everything in the background. It gave us time to put a plan together for the future.

2021 - Monte Forte Horsham
Monte Forte Horsham
Nearly 2 years after our first pizzeria, our second pizzeria was born. A much larger 85 cover site in the middle of the foodie part of town.
This is where we make all of our Monte Forte dough and prep for both pizzerias to keep quality high and consistent.

2024 - Monte Forte Farnham
We are Thrilled to have opened our farnham Restaurant on the 2nd of December! - What a cracker its been so far

SINCE THE START We have been busy building our people & passion for what we do, WHILE continuing to serve you great pizza, along with TOP NOTCH hospitality.
Our PEOPLE
